Water in an international context

The event format “Water in an International Context” has already established itself as a JRF workshop format and is scheduled to take place for the third time this year. This year’s event is being held at IKT.

The JRF-institutes carry out research into dealing with the extremes of the climate change, including heavy rain and drought, have both a local impact (NRW) as well as an international (GB and the Commonwealth) focus. Here the JRF member institutes and their research partners can draw on expertise from different sources areas. These range from urban infrastructure to urban drainage, water monitoring/treatment, governance structures for climate adaptation through to the impact of climate change internationally and locally. The JRF water institutes have both local partners in the water industry, as well as international cooperation. On this year’s event there will be talks and discussions focusing on the impact of climate change on water locally and in an international context.
